Would you like to work in sport or event management? Do you want to gain valuable experience in the run up to London 2012?
Why should I Volunteer?
The event would not exist without the support of volunteers. The volunteer roles are vital for an event of this stature and you will make an enormous difference to the competitor and spectator event experience. Volunteering is a great way to have fun, make friends and gain experience of large scale events. Volunteering for the event can also give you the opportunity to test out potential career choices.
Equally, if you know of others who can join you then please ask them to get in touch.
What will I be doing?
Roles are varied and you could be directing athletes, helping at the start/finish, providing information for spectators or handing out the all-important medals! At the end of the event you will leave having worked as part of a team of one on of the UKs most prestigious events.
Whats included?
Working on a unique music half marathon with some great artists set to play
A free gig ticket courtesy of Orange Rock Corps
Agreed Travel Expenses
Limited Edition T-Shirt
Food and refreshments throughout the day
A great achievement that gives you practical experience for future
events.
When will I be needed?
Planning for the event is well under way, and it would be great to know that you want to come down and help us out for the event on 25th September 2011.
